Italy – 1913/14 Prepaid Parcel Stationery (Acquacalda di Lucca) – Complete set with Bolletta di Spedizione and Ricevuta del Destinatario, postmarked 21 Oct 1913, bearing the 7.5 Lire preprinted stamp from the 1913 Italian parcel post series.

Italy – 1895 Postal Stationery Card, 5 Centesimi – Pre-printed card featuring St. Anthony of Padua, from the Vatican EBV series, printed to commemorate the 400th anniversary of St. Anthony’s death, postmarked Padova, 27.8.95.
Italy 1929 King Victor Emmanuel III 1.25 Lire violet definitive (Michel 646 / Scott 223), block of 4. Features the Italian Social Republic red “fasces” overprint, but with a breathtaking inverted printing anomaly — the overprint is visible only on the reverse, with no trace on the front. The block is MNH, with full original gum, strong vibrant color, and good centring.

Italian States — Papal States. 1868 cover to France franked with III issue stamps
Folded letter sent from Rome to Annonay, France, dated 22 July 1868, franked with 10 cent orange and 40 cent yellow, both from the Papal States III issue (Sassone nos. 19, 26). Stamps tied by "Roma 22 Lug 68" circular datestamp, with clear "P.D." (Paid to Destination) handstamp and Annonay arrival marking on reverse. Routing via Pont St. Michel. An attractive and complete cross-border usage of the late Papal postal system, just two years before the fall of Rome.
Estimate: International usage from Rome to France, rarer than domestic, with a similar local cover realizing €1,200 (~$1,300) at the 2018 Corinphila Auction.

Italian States (Abruzzo) 1878, Pre-stamp cover from Municipio di Rosciano, bearing a clear municipal cachet of the small village of Rosciano. Addressed to "Mons. Prefetto della Provincia" in Teramo. Dated by a double-circle postmark from Pianella, 22 October 1878. Rosciano had no postal service; mail was either delivered by hand or via limited postal coach, making mayoral correspondence from this village rare and sought after

Folded letter dated 16.6.1874 from the Municipality of Asola, addressed to the Mayor of Leno. Features a double-circle "ASOLA" postmark (without year), a municipal seal with laurel leaves encircling the "Municipio di Asola" emblem, and an oval cachet reading "IL SINDACO DI ASOLA," indicating the mayor as the sender.

Folded official letter dated 8.12.1862, sent from the Municipio di Erbusco (Brescia province) to the Mayor of Chiari. Bears the circular municipal seal "MUNICIPIO DI ERBUSCO PRO. DI BRESCIA" with central coat of arms. Manuscript "Si Chiari" and routing notation "Di Chiari" confirm destination.

Italian States – Venetia, 1850s Stampless Cover Folded official letter with circular date stamp (cds) “S. BONIFACIO / 16-3” indicating dispatch from San Bonifacio on 16 March. Addressed to the Onorevole Municipio of Belfiore, with reference to S. Giacomo S. Belfiore and “Humane.” Struck with an encircled “MUNICIPIO DI BELFIORE” handstamp featuring a central floral motif — applied at the destination to confirm official receipt. Manuscript “No. 160” at upper left denotes the originating office’s protocol number.

Italian States – Lombardy–Venetia, 1855 Stampless Cover Folded official letter bearing a circular “St Giuseppe” cancel with serrated (cogwheel-like) outer edge, depicting carnations — applied at the Chiesa del borgato di S. Giuseppe del comune di Seregno. Struck with circular barred SEREGNO postmark, type L.V., dated 13-10-1855. Manuscript “Urgente” by the sender indicates priority handling, while “d’ufficio” confirms postal fee exemption for official correspondence. Manuscript “n.314” by the postiglione denotes either sequential d’ufficio numbering or dispatch/arrival tracking.

Folded cover franked with Victor Emmanuel II stamp, tied by typical postal cancellation and additionally marked with the oval municipal handstamp “SINDACO DI LUZZI” at lower left. Reverse shows circular arrival postmark “ROSE OTT 78”. A fine example of official Calabrian correspondence, featuring both postal and municipal markings from the Province of Cosenza.
