Petach Tikva Jewish colony.
Petach Tikva Jewish colony 1909 issue stamp, denominated 14 Para (Ba #J-1), MH & OG. This adhesive was used as a surcharge applied to mail for the forwarding fee to the Austrian post office in Jaffa; the Austrian post in the Holy Land exclusively handled mail from the Jewish colonies and settlements. The stamp was in use for only a year, between 1909 and 1910, owing to the disapproval of the Ottoman Turkish authorities, who ordered its usage stopped.

1907, postcard from Jerusalem to Paris, franked with a Levant 5¢ stamp tied by a French post "Jerusalem - Palestine" CDS, also bears two good strikes of the Paris arrival CDS, the picture side shows the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem

Holy Land (French Post Office) 1873, cover from Jerusalem to Paris bearing a genuine grey-blue "Jerusalem Cross" postmark of the French P.O. in Jerusalem, black pearl-ring Jaffa/Syrie cancel dated October 31, 1873, and a blue 20c French "Laureé" stamp (Yv. #29) with an illegible numeral cancel. Original single franking was removed and replaced by the blue Laureé stamp, which is not original to the cover. Numerous transit and arrival marks on reverse. Expertized by P.O.B. Tel Aviv (March 18, 1982, H.G. Muentz). Scarce and historically significant.
