1859 "Sunhead" Issue, 120 centésimos dark blue (1860 printing), wide clear margins Scott No. 16; SG 18. tied by oval Montevideo dispatch cancel dated 24.10.1862 on folded letter to Buenos Aires.The reverse bears the expert signature of Díaz Paulos; a comparable cover with this franking realized €280 at David Feldman (2021).

November 11, 1932, envelope to Decatur, IL, franked with 3¢ William Penn, Scott #724, purple block of six. Cancelled with a striking four-petal floral fancy cancel surrounding “REGISTERED” marking. Sent via Robinson’s Mail Service, Lakewood, IL. A visually appealing and scarce fancy-cancel usage.

USA, 1931 Registered Cover from Chicago Ridge to Lilly, Illinois, bearing multiple franking canceled by rare lily-shaped handstamps, likely locally carved. Circular datestamp on reverse: CHICAGO RIDGE, ILL. OCT 7 1931 A.M.; addressed to W.H. Gilley in Lilly, IL. Large “REGISTERED No. –8–” handstamp on face. An attractive and unusual example of small-town postal artistry.

Features a clear strike of Pacolet Mills Fancy Cancel #867 (“Tulip”) in blue‑green, dated September 18, 1929, with both departure and Chicago arrival backstamps. This is one of the last known usages before discontinuation on October 10, 1929. Fine condition, rare and historically significant fancy‑cancel usage.Estimated value: $150–$400, depending on strike clarity and condition.
