Rare usage of the 3rd Israeli Postage Due set (30p, 40p, 50p – Scott J15–17) on a taxed cover. The cover was mailed unfranked from Paddington W.2 Army post on 28 Sep 1948 and sent to Tel Aviv, Israel, bearing the mixed postage due frank of 33 mil (3, 20, 10 mil) on the front with two postmarks, including the Tel Aviv 11.48 round To-Pay & hexagonal T 8 F.S. marks.

Taxation: Total due of 120 p, reflecting double the inland 60 p letter deficiency, demonstrating the postal penalty for insufficient postage.
