Duchy of Parma – 1855 Cover to Piacenza with 1852 5c Yellow-Green, Sassone #8
Folded entire sent from Borgotaro to Piacenza, dated 19 October 1855, franked with a horizontal strip of three 5 centesimi yellow-green (giallo chiaro/verdone), tied by circular postmarks.
A fine and rare franking, bearing disinfection slits typical of the period.
Accompanied by a 2001 certificate from Giorgio Colla, who confirms the authenticity of the letter, strip, and cancellations, and notes the excellent condition aside from the slits.
A very scarce and attractive item of classic Italian postal history.
