In 1999, the Bank of Israel put into circulation 20, 50, 100, and 200 new Sheqel banknotes, the second series with new designs. The personalities were the same as those on the banknotes of the first series, but the designs were produced vertically, and the portraits were formed from the initials of the names of the personalities in the folder. There is a sheet of three uncut, uncirculated banknotes with consecutive low serial numbers. SN # 000003162.
