JNF 1913 Palestine Scenes Series II – Two Complete Sheets
Two complete sheets, each containing 12 different stamps arranged in a 3 × 4 format, issued by the Jewish National Fund (JNF) in 1913. Each stamp depicts a unique scenic view of Palestine, with the title printed beneath the vignette.
Inscriptions at the bottom of the stamps are identical to those in Series I, while the upper inscription, also as in Series I, is omitted in the right-hand column of stamps.
This series features two color combinations:
- Ge37–Ge48: blue picture with black and ochre borders.
- Ge49–Ge60: ocher picture with black and blue borders.
All stamps are in horizontal format except Ge46 and Ge58. Both sheets retain original gum with typical tropical spotting. A very scarce offering of these early and important JNF issues.
